More efficiency, less paper consumption
In the first half of 2024, we made great progress in digitalising our order processing and accounting. Since the beginning of the year, we have been sending invoices to our customers automatically by email. We have already been able to convert around 30% of our customers to automatic invoice dispatch, which means we have sent around 25,000 invoices digitally so far. This process is continuing as we continue to convert more customers.
The biggest change concerns customer orders. Since March, 99 per cent of orders are no longer printed, but digitally imported into our ERP system. Communication between accounting and order processing is also exclusively digital. As a result, we have minimised paper consumption and reduced the processing times for incoming orders, credit checks and approval to minutes in some cases.
These measures not only lead to considerable cost savings, but also to an increase in productivity and efficiency, which benefits our customers. We are also making a significant contribution to environmental and climate protection. The changeover will enable us to save an estimated 250,000 sheets of paper per year, which corresponds to around 1250 tonnes of CO². Sending invoices digitally also enables us to save up to 1200 tonnes of CO² per year.
