Growing together with our producers
Last week, Ramona Fritz (Head of Quality Management) and Daniel Kröll (Head of Purchasing) travelled to Italy to visit three important producers.
The first stop was the manufacturer of our popular ‘crispbread’ products in Alessandria. During the tour of the production facility, they were able to gain a comprehensive picture of the processes there. They were particularly impressed by the strict quality standards and the efficiency of production in this small family business. In discussions with the producer, they also discussed expansion options for extending the range in the future and adapting it to the needs of customers.
The next day, they travelled on to the vicinity of Cremona, where they visited the producer of our pretzel sticks. Here, too, the focus of the discussions was on the quality of production before the journey continued to Turin. In the Piedmontese capital, the producer of our Stiratini breadsticks awaited them, whose highly automated production process made a special impression. It was fascinating to see how state-of-the-art technology is used in the production of traditional baked goods.
Focus on growth
All discussions with our producers focussed on how we can grow together and expand the range. This trip provided valuable insights and strengthened our confidence in the quality of our partners.
