Thank you for the interesting day!

On 10th of August we hosted our customer day in Mäder at the headquarters (Vorarlberg , Austria).
Almost 30 customers from all over Europe accepted the invitation. Specifically for this day our customer traveled from Estonia, Poland, Bulgaria, Holland and of course from our neighboring countries Switzerland and Germany as well as customers from Austria.
During the company visit, the customers got an insight into our family business.
In addition to informative reports and a factory visit, a joint hiking tour was on the day's program.

Even rain and cold couldn’t change the good atmosphere. The active participation in personal idea exchanges featured our customer day. We look forward to many more years of a good cooperation.

In November 2007, Gunz Warenhandels GmbH established together with Alexander Fehr the MIA Systems & Software GmbH. With 50% each, both parties were equally involved in the rights of the company. On July 1, 2016 Gunz passed over all shares to Executive Director Fehr. "MIA Systems has its own success story and can look back on a great development. 9 years ago, we gladly got involved and helped to make a young company the way to independence easier. Our common expectations were met and exceeded, software development is not our main business. Therefore, the timing was ideal to pass the entire company shares to Alexander Fehr," said Werner Gunz.

Gunz will still trust in the future on the IT solutions of MIA, which will continue to have their principal office at the Gunz headquarters in Mäder. MIA currently employs 21 employees.

With these three displays the creeps are announced for Halloween!
Haunted figures filled with sugar dragees afterwards served as a money box and creepy milk chocolate figures in a net (individually wrapped).
The money boxes come in designs of witches, vampires, pirates and ghosts, the nets are filled with dreadful eyes, skeletons, ghosts, pumpkins and horror characters made out of fine chocolate.

For years, we have been very international, currently we are active in about 90 countries. Also in terms of employees we are constructed internationally, our 160 employees come from a total of 20 nations.

Savings of 270,000 kWh electricity/year
We have changed our warehouse lighting at the headquarters Mäder (AT) as well as the logistics center Magdeburg (DE) to advanced LED lighting. The sales area of the Gunz retail store in Mäder is also illuminated with this new LED technology. Therefore, we save about 270,000 kWh of electricity a year, equivalent to approximately 68 average 3-people households.

The beginning of the your makes it a perfect timing for a brief review of the past year - to give you some insight of our development:

We can particularly be proud of the year 2015: With a renewed growth of more than 8 % and a turnover of 122.3 million Euros, we had achieved by far the best year in our company's history. In the last five years we were able to more than double our sales. We currently are now represented in 90 countries worldwide. Brand new to find in our export list of countries are Bangladesh, Paraguay, Togo, Greenland, Azores and Guadeloupe.

This continuous development is only possible with reliable suppliers and customers, for this reason again a heartfelt THANK YOU to you!
